Tourism in Hisaronu

By Justin Mays:

Whether you want a relaxing and peaceful holiday from the hectic everyday life or you need to unleash the party animal in you, Hisaronu is the perfect holiday resort for you. The resort village located in Fethiye district in the Mugla Province of Turkey is in the South of the Dalaman region of the country.

The area has spectacular views of the beautiful turquoise coast and magnificent views of the Taurus mountains. It is popular with individuals, couples, and families who are looking for a beautiful atmosphere and somewhere off the beaten path.

There are many ways to get to Hisaronu. You can either fly from Istanbul to Dalaman Airport then get a transfer bus to Hisaronu or fly from Istanbul to Antalya then board a bus to Hisaronu among other transportation options.

Accommodation is not a problem for visitors, especially in Ovacik because there are many hotels, B&B, hostels, and private properties. However, if you are looking for a more private feel, you can simply rent a villa or a property that has a private garden and a pool where you can maximize your holiday pleasure. Hisaronu is appreciated by many tourists and its affordable accommodation is another reason.

There is no talking of Hisaronu’s vibrant nightlife without mentioning one of its biggest clubs, Revolution Nightclub which offers the best nightlife experience for locals and tourists alike, and most are known to live its doors in the early hours of the morning.  Time Out, Grand Boozey, and Bar Rumba are some of the popular clubs on the streets of Hisaronu.

The food at the local restaurants is value for money. You can enjoy the famous vine leaf rolled food, different types of cheese and fish, stuffed peppers, and other cuisines and tastes from other parts of the country and the world.  Examples of restaurants you can find nearby are Shine Indian, El Nino, Suzanne’s Restaurant, and English and Bees Knees. If you are not sure of the food they serve you can easily grab a menu card on the street and choose what you like.

Souvenirs can be bought at the central market which has a lot of stalls to choose from. Some locally produced goods are of good quality and some fake brands can be bought too. For whatever you wish to buy, inquire about the asking price because it is usually 50% of the actual price.

The magnificent beaches near Hisaronu are a few kilometers away from the city center and one can get to Olu Deniz in 10 minutes by a public minibus (dolmus).  This location has one of the most beautiful beaches in Turkey loved by many, Blue Lagoon which is worth being on your bucket list when you visit Hisaronu.
